The ski shop team
At Pointons Ski Shop, we really love our friendly and knowledgeable team! With years of on the job experience under their respective belts, they have come to know a thing or two about skiing and snowboarding: For example, owner and operator Steve Pointon is our workshop guru and boot fitter extraordinaire. He is well respected within the industry as being one of New Zealand’s best ski mechanics. Steve has been in the ski shop industry for 42 years and is a walking encyclopedia on all things to do with the snow.
Julie Cairns has been Steve’s partner in the ski shop for over 20 years, and handles all the books, while also working part time in the store and keeping up to date with the changing trends in street and snow wear fashions of the day.

Our store manager and resident snowboard expert, Rich hails from the U.K and is the longest serving member of our team.’.
Our newest member of the team is Bryn. Bryn is our skate expert, with a passion for surfskating.
